Things to Think Before Selling Pitbull Pups

“ I want a dog just like yours” most of your friends might promise you after seeing your pit bulls. But this promise will get evaporate once you contact them with handful of pups. They will ask excuse from you not getting pup this time, but with promise of obtaining next litter pups. This is the common problem encountered by the first time breeders.

Before trying to sell your pit bulls, you should start planning of sales even before your dog get conceived. You should consider the expense you are going to incur for pup maintenance until four months of age.

Try to get advance cash payments for your pups at the age of three weeks itself. It is highly recommended to sell your pit bull pups at the age of eight weeks only. You should avoid the selling of your beloved pit bull puppies to puppy mills and pet shops because they will cramp your pet or even they will ill-treat your pup, sometimes they may die also.

Try to place your ad in the local newspaper or free ad websites such as www.dogwebz.com in dog-classified section. In the advertisement try to put your pups picture to grab a very good buyer.

You can also ask the buyer to place their amount in escrow until they purchase your puppy. Once they received the pup from your end and verified its health then the money will be released to you. This provides safe environment for the buyer. The buyer will definitely love this method of payment.

Some of the buyers do know very well about- "How to choose a better pitbull kennels?. Hence you should be careful in dealing those owners. Don't reluctant to answer the owners question.

The buyer may be given a copy of the signed sale contract in exchange for payment along with the necessary records of registration and health. As a breeder of Pit bull terrier you should be in a position to answer the buyer’s questions about the dog maintenance right from pup to adult stage.

As a Pit bull lover, you should not consider sending your unsold pit bull pups either to the pound or to a cheap dog broker who may resell the pups to unsavory buyers or labs.
